Senior Jon(JP) Moon from MCHA set two new state records in both of his individual events.
NCHEAC began hosting the annual swim championship in 2012 and two records have remained since then until now.
In the 50 free JP went 22.16 breaking the previous record set by Preston Rodeniser in 2012 of 22.24
In the 100 Breast JP went 59.28 breaking the previous record set by Bill Young of Asheville in 2012 of 59.38
JP Moon has been swimming for 5 years on club and homeschool teams. He is an avid athlete participating in many other sports. He plans to attend Sandhills Community College in the pre-engineering program after graduation.
